A creative space where Muslims learn to make art while staying true to Islamic values.

What Does This Mean?

In Islam, there are specific rulings regarding the creation of images, particularly those depicting living beings with a soul. This does not apply to all types of artwork, but rather to those that portray the complete human or animal form in a way that suggests life.

There are a variety of scholarly opinions on this matter, and as an Academy, we respect the view that each individual chooses to follow. However, as a school, we adhere to what we consider to be the strongest scholarly opinion and design our curriculum accordingly.

Our goal is to equip students with professional-level art skills and techniques while remaining within the boundaries of Islamic teachings. You will learn how to create expressive, meaningful artwork without the need to depict full human faces. Through this approach, you will gain all the essential artistic foundations — composition, color, proportion, and design — and use them to develop your own unique artistic voice and style.
